Being a handmade process used by local artisans of the weaving community, cane weaving is quite interesting to witness. This item essentially is a metal base that gets elegantly surrounded by cane strips. The cane is shredded by local craftsmen, with a blade, into strips of various sizes. The strips get perpendicularly fixed around the wooden base and act as a skeleton to the structure. Numerous strips of cane then get interlaced with the vertical cane strips. All the strips are woven with such consistency that the final product already has a beautiful design
